UNDERWATER RESISTANCE TRAINING FOR SURFERS

Lauren runs Blu Breathwork. She is a skilled breath coach and Deep End fitness instructor with vast experience in underwater training and apnea work.

What’s on? A 90-minute underwater resistance training session to help you improve breath control, boost mental strength, and stay calm under pressure.

Through guided apnea-based training, you’ll build CO₂ tolerance, enhance your water confidence, and strengthen your mindset — both in and out of the surf.

Whether you're working up to bigger waves, training for hold-downs, or just curious to explore the connection between breath and resilience, Lauren creates a supportive space to dive in at your own pace, one breath at a time.

  • Bring a swimsuit, goggles, a small snack and water. 

  • We’ll head to 45 Queen Street for a girls’ dinner after. If you wish to join, please bring a change of clothes.

Location: Penzance Leisure Centre Pool. Please arrive 20 minutes before to allow you to change and meet the rest of the group. 

Open to all levels (you don’t need to know how to swim properly, but it’s advised that you’re comfortable in the water).
